Welcome to the Mar Thoma Sleeha Syro Malabar Cathedral, Bellwood, Chicago, IL. This is a worshipping community of Catholics joined under the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago to foster the richness and diversity of Eastern Catholic traditions inherited through St. Thomas, the Apostle of Jesus Christ. As an immigrant community trying to take its roots in this land of opportunity, Cathedral would provide a home for everyone who looks for spiritual nourishment, social contacts, and cultural taste of Indian sub-continent in a realm of friendship and service. Directed towards the Glory of God and service to the people, Cathedral will focus on the life of St Thomas the Apostle of Christ as their role model and example for Christian faith expressions. As a community of faith based on the Eucharist, the Cathedral will be a beacon of hope for the young generations in their search for love, peace, and joy.
